My makeup routine is pretty simple: concealer, foundation, mascara, eyeliner, brows, lip stain or stick. Although I’m no expert when it comes to makeup and have no patience and little skill when it comes to the beat, I love my staples and trying new products. I recently received the new Hourglass Unlocked Instant Extensions Mascara complimentary in exchange for my feedback, and I must say I’m impressed.
The weighted gold tube sets a high standard for your look and makes you want to take your time perfecting it. You’ll feel fancy and elegant from the time you pick up the bottle to the time the formula dries on your lids.
With film-forming technology designed to lift, define and lengthen, the formula achieves all three and doesn’t weigh down your eyelashes, which I love. It also dries fairly quickly and doesn’t smudge, which is always a challenge for me especially on my lower lashes. I also love that the molded brush is thinner at the tip making those smaller lashes near the creases of the eyelid easier to coat.
Another great benefit is the tubing-formula, which makes removal a breeze. Although I used micellar water and removed it with ease, it got a little messy as it transitioned into a gel-like consistency and transferred to my nails and fingers. It’s much easier to use water and your fingers to slide the mascara tubes from your lashes and wash the faux-falsies down the drain.

Although I’m not sure about the recyclability of the packaging, the company definitely makes up for it with it’s impact connection as 5% of sales are donated to the nonhuman rights project. In addition the formula is vegan and cruelty free, like all other products of the luxury beauty brand.
