We shouldn’t wait until Earth Day to think about sustainability and how our daily routines and lifestyle practices build or harm our planet and environment. Like many, my entry point to sustainability was recycling. During my undergraduate college career I began shredding and recycling my notes at the end of each semester and that routine continued through grad school and into my professional career.

Because I’ve been single more than 10 years, I don’t often gravitate to advice on how to navigate “Single Life,” but Faith Jenkins is someone I’ve always admired. I was very curious about her approach to finding love with a man who checked all but one box on her 50-item list. That alone gave her credibility in my book, but in addition she has a history of counseling couples in her professional career as an attorney and former judge on Divorce Court.

Aside from the reasons mentioned above and our shared Louisiana roots, I pre-ordered a copy to support her first book. Although it took me much longer to read it than I expected, it exceeded my expectations and took me on my own journey while following hers.

The book gives a look into her private celebrity love life and lessons before marriage, shares advice from the countless couples she’s counseled and provides a guide to dating with affirmations, questions to ask yourself and your potential mate and more!

In loving memory of Cheslie Kryst by Jasmine Tate

It’s amazing how much impact someone can have on your life without ever meeting them face to face. Although I had never met Cheslie Kryst in person, we chatted often on Instagram, and I felt like we were BFFs. I always appreciate when celebrities take time to engage with their social media friends and fans and Cheslie always did.

Most people knew her from her pageant experiences leading up to and after earning the 2019 crown at Miss USA and her role as an EXTRA TV Correspondent. I first discovered Cheslie through her fashion blog, White Collar Glam. I admired her style and beauty and started following along in 2018.
