When most people read, A Tiger Woods Charity, they naturally link the foundation to golf, but it is and does so much beyond the sport to advance education in underrepresented communities around the globe.
Besides doing what I love every day, it’s truly rewarding to join a team as equally committed to improving lives through education as I am. I gained such valuable knowledge and experiences in and outside of the classroom during my academic career and believe that with that education comes responsibility.
At the end of my final year in grad school, I dreamed of working in a community relations role for a professional sports organization because of the power of sports and athletes to make an impact. Tiger is a true example of that through his foundation and commitment to reaching millions of students in underrepresented communities around the globe through education, and now you can join the cause.
Vote for Tiger in the MetLife MatchUp, a competition that recognizes golfers who overcame challenging shots on the golf course throughout the PGA Tour season. The winner of the challenge will receive $750,000 for their charity of choice. If Tiger wins the funds donated will impact students, educators and families through signature programs focused on quality science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education and college access.
